Hello dan and dan's family,

Ever since dan died I've occasionally found myself wandering back to this site. It's lovely that there is this tribute to him left and heart warming that people still visit it and remember him. My best wishes are to dave, gill and the rest, I hope you are all very well.

Hiya mate, I decided that my last message was a bit morbib and down so I have just sat and read through every email you sent me whilst i was in Thailand and i was laughing out loud. they are sooooo funny and to this day make me smile. I said I would make a book out of them and I think I am going to - you really were hillarious. they made me remember all the good times we had and shared and what a kind and wonderful person you were, even if a bit mental and weird!! Brilliant - thanks mate for making me smile - AGAIN!! Berls

I know its been three years now and so it means so much to me and all of the family that so many of you still check out the site regularly. Dan clearly had the amazing friends he deserved and loved! Thank you all for remembering and missing him as much as i do.

Howdy Daniel, I thought I would write and just say its still crap that you are no longer here and that you are not getting to be part of all the things I am doing at the minute. I think that you would have loved the Thai takeaway. I am working super hard at the minute and things seem to be good. My friend Bilbo died recently and I wanted to check that if you guys are together could you look out for him, I know you will. You would have liked him very much like you - special. Sometimes life seems to throw you some rubbish and when I am down and feeling it a bit I always think how brave and wonderful and selfless you were and that seems to spur me to carry on. I miss you Mr Newman and I want you back and I know that's never going to happen and sometimes that is almost too much to bear. I am thinking of your family today and will ring them all later. Went to see your mum and Phil couple of weeks ago which was lovely they both look well. Take care pico - Berls xxxx
